The passage of time cycles on, and another month has passed us. Thank you all for continuing to accompany me on the journey that is this project! I’m excited for this update, as I have made a good amount of progress on several proofs I have cooking!!!

First up is a proof of concept for a mixed media animation. You may recall that I intend to release music videos as a part of the rollout for my debut EP, and you may also recall that I want to incorporate dance into these music videos. You may also also also recall the (working) title of the EP, A Collage from the Maturing Information Age, and when thinking about the connective thread for all of the EP’s visuals (cover art, visualizers, and music videos), I found myself returning to the idea of a collage. Sooo I made the artistic choice to dip my toe into mixed media animation, as I feel like this is (1) very on theme and (2) a way to elevate the artistry of my visuals in a manner that feels practical and exciting (I was less excited at the prospect of teaching myself After Effects….).

All that to say, below is a clip of me dancing in a fundraising gala at the community theater I grew up at, circa 2011, animated via the mixed media form. It’s not quite done, but already I’ve really enjoyed experimenting with the possibilities that accompany mixed media.
